Friends
of Art of the Lowe Art Museum concluded an event-filled 2010-2011 season with a
members-only visit to the home of renowned artist, Humberto Calzada and his
wife, Carmen. Guests toured the artist's studio and got a glimpse of his
evocative architectural works and of a series he is preparing for an upcoming
exhibit. The Cuban-American University of Miami graduate has enjoyed an
ever-widening circle of acclaim over a career spanning more the 35 years.
